Welcome Reception

Museum of the Fine Arts

 

It is in the neoclassical atmosphere of the museum of the Fine Arts of Budapest, located on the northern side of the Heroes’ Square, that you will enjoy a stand-up dinner for the Welcome Reception of ESPGHAN 2009. You will be dipped in a magnificent collection of masterpieces of all arts, from ancient times to present days, gathered by the Esterhazy family, one of the most prominent of the Hungarian aristocracy.

 

Included in the delegate and accompanying person fees.

Access from the Main Entrance Area of the Novotel Congress Hotel to the Museum

From 6pm to 19pm, shuttle buses will be provided from the Novotel congress hotel to the metro station Déli Pályaudvar. Then Take the metro M2 to the Deák Tér (Deak square), and change for the M1 tube (direction to Mexikói út) up to Hősök Tere (Heroes Square).

No bus transportation will be organised for return.

 

Concert

Saint Stephen Basilica 

 

Let your heart be elated during an opera concert hosted in the most sacred building of Hungary, Saint Stephen Basilica. This monument is dedicated to the first king of Hungary and preserves the “Szent Jobb” - the holy right hand. Constructed in 1905 in neoclassical style, with the characteristic Greek cross, it is known to be, with its two bell towers, the tallest building of Budapest.

 

Included in the delegate and accompanying person fees.

No shuttle buses will be provided from the congress centre & the hotels to the Basilica.

 

ESPGHAN Members Dinner

Friday, June 5, 2009 - 20.00-23.00

Europe ship

 

Come and have a pleasant dinner cruise on board of the Europe ship, where, accompanied by an orchestra, you will enjoy the charm of the Danube and of Budapest by night.

Closing Dinner

Saturday, June 6, 2009 - 20.30-23.00

Lazar Equestrian Park

 

This year, a very special location, the Lazar Equestrian Park, has been chosen for the Closing Dinner. You will have the opportunity to discover the traditional Hungarian horsemanship during a spectacular horse show executed by the “csikósok” on the notes of a live gypsy band.

 

Shuttle buses will be provided : Pick-up points will be confirmed on-site at the social desk.
